Ohio State drops intense ‘next step’ game trailer ahead of Week 2

Ohio State is back for more, heading into Week 2 and the second game of the 2024 season! The Buckeyes are 1-0 after rolling past Akron, and next up is a showdown against Western Michigan on Saturday.

On Thursday, Ohio State dropped the next installment of the 2024 game trailers. This one is titled “The Next Step” as the Buckeyes continue their journey toward a B1G Championship and potential College Football Playoff appearance.

Included in the clips of this week’s hype video is a speech from Will Howard, pumping up the Buckeyes for the season opener.

“We got goals man. We’ve got all these things we’re thinking about. And they’re standing in our way, of what we want to get to,” urged Howard.

Western Michigan is the next program standing in the way of Ohio State, though the Broncos are not expected to pose much of a threat. FanDuel has Ohio State -37.5 entering Saturday, and fans can track the line movement and get in on the action with Tradition’s OH sports betting apps.

With the Buckeyes entering the game as such a heavy favorite, Ryan Day is concerned about how the team looks throughout the game. He shared during his weekly radio show that the number one thing he wants to see is a clean game with zero tolerance placed on pre-snap and procedural penalties. We’ll see if Ohio State can live up to that standard.
