Davis was widely expected to turn pro after producing a first team All-America season in 2020. The former 5-star also started all 14 games for Ohio State in 2019.

According to WalterFootball.com, Davis is the No. 3 offensive guard prospect in the 2021 draft. He is a potential first round pick in the NFL draft.

While this isn’t the news some Ohio State fans may have hoped for, the Buckeyes have had luck with returnees for the 2021 season. Receiver Chris Olave and left tackle Thayer Munford have both announced they’ll be returning to school next season despite significant NFL potential.

The NFL has also announced some news about the pre-draft process that will be of interest to Davis and other Buckeyes heading to the draft. The 2021 scouting combine will be held virtually, as will prospect interviews and psychological evaluations.

The NFL draft is currently scheduled for April 29-May 1.
