Even as recently as 10 days ago, Ohio State was thought to be a “lock” to earn a commitment from the talented linebacker.

To’o To’o was viewed by many as the top player in the transfer portal this offseason. In two years with the Vols, he totaled 140 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, four pass deflections and one touchdown.

To’o To’o was a highly-recruited prospect in the 2019 cycle. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, To’o To’o was the No. 3 OLB and the No. 44 overall player in the country.

Ohio State still has plenty of options at linebacker, including Teradja Mitchell, Dallas Gant and K’Vaughan Pope. There’s also Cody Simon and Tommy Eichenberg.
