Ohio State has not been able to stop Oregon’s rushing attack on Saturday.

The Ducks carried a 14-7 lead into the break, and just added to it on their first drive of the third quarter. It was running back CJ Verdell who did the damage:

Oregon now leads 21-7 and has a commanding lead over the Buckeyes. Seven first-half points for Ohio State is the lowest output for its program since it scored three first-half points in a loss to Oklahoma in 2017.

Verdell now has 3 touchdowns on the day and doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. In total, he has 10 carries for 126 yards and 3 catches for 34 yards.

Ohio State fans spent halftime wondering if freshman phenom Quinn Ewers could make a difference over current starter CJ Stroud.

Ohio State is 9-0 all-time against Oregon. .
