Report: After losing Miami QB job, Tate Martell didn’t practice Monday

Tate Martell is not having a great start to his week.
It was announced Monday that the former Buckeyes quarterback did not win the starting job at Miami. Instead, the Hurricanes are going with Jarren Williams.
The announcement was somewhat surprising given Martell’s well-publicized transfer to Miami after leaving Ohio State. Making matters worse, it was also announced that Martell is still in competition with N’Kosi Perry for the backup position on the depth chart.
A new development was revealed later Monday evening with Andrew Ivins of Swamp247 reporting that Martell did not practice Monday after the announcement. No further details were given at the time explaining his reported absence.

Hopefully, Martell does return to practice soon and continues competing for playing time.
