Ryan Day says his Ohio State team is fun and gritty: 'We've got to play angry'
Ryan Day knows that Ohio State has what it takes to beat Penn State. Now is the time to do it.
Day went on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Friday and again praised Marvin Harrison Jr. and the star wide receiver’s work ethic and ability to set a standard has been tremendous. But the team as a whole also stands out to Day.
“This game is about players,” Day said. “And we have a really good team, we do. Our kids are working hard and they put it in every single week. Now we’ve got to go put it on the field on Saturday. This is a fun team to be around. It’s a veteran team, it’s a gritty team. And we’ve got to play that way on Saturday. We’ve got to play angry, we’ve got to play with an edge to us, because we know it’s going to go 4 quarters.”
Day referenced the previous games with Penn State in the last decade, and believes this one will be the same.
“We’ve got to come out swinging,” he said.
Ohio State opened as a slim -6 home favorite for Saturday’s showdown vs. Penn State. Interested fans can get in on the action via our Caesars Ohio promo code!
