Ryan Day shares initial reaction to late surge for Ohio State's win against Penn State
Ryan Day was happy with Ohio State after the Buckeyes pulled out all the stops in the 4th quarter to take the win against Penn State on Saturday.
Although Day says he “wished we could have done things better early on,” the Buckeyes scored two TDs in less than a minute in the 4th to seal the deal in the road game against Penn State. TreVeyon Henderson found a hole in the Lions’ defense, ripping up yardage on his way to the end zone to put the Buckeyes up 37-24.
Less than 30 seconds later, Cade Stover took off for a 24-yard touchdown for another Buckeye TD.

Day also touched on the incredible performance of J.T. Tuimoloau:
“He really stepped up. You’re really seeing what he’s capable of,” said Day about the impressive outing.
Tuimoloau recorded 6 total tackles, 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 3 tackles for loss, including a pick-6 in the 4th quarter. With Saturday’s performance, the talented DE became the only player this century with 2 interceptions, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery in a single game.
