Ryan Day made an important note on his Thursday radio show prior to Week 12’s matchup against Minnesota.

Day told listeners that Josh Proctor “should be ready to go” for Ohio State’s penultimate game of the regular season. Proctor suffered a head injury against Rutgers and missed last week’s game against Michigan State.

This is a big boost for Ohio State’s secondary, indeed. Proctor, the Buckeyes’ free safety, has totaled 35 tackles with 1 interception, 4 tackles for loss and 7 pass deflections this season.

Proctor will likely line up alongside Sonny Styles, who is filling in for Lathan Ransom. Day told reporters on Tuesday that Ransom is likely to miss the remainder of the regular season, though he does not expect his injury to be season-ending.

If he does indeed suit up, Saturday will be the 6th-year senior’s last time playing for the Buckeyes at Ohio Stadium.
