B1G levies punishment on Penn State DT for sideline shove on Maryland QB Taulia Tagovailoa
Penn State is coming off a 31-14 to win over Maryland over the weekend. There has been a suspension for the Nittany Lions, DT Fred Hansard for shoving Maryland QB Taulia Tagovailoa after he had run out of bounds.

Head coach James Franklin, in his weekly presser on Tuesday, says the B1G has suspended Hansard for the 1st half of the upcoming game against No. 7 Michigan.
Here is what Franklin had to say about the incident:
James Franklin on DT Fred Hansard: “The optics of it don’t look great. I do wanna say this: Fred Hansard has been here for 4 years. He’s been a model citizen.”
The Big Ten did reach out and PSU will suspend Hansard for the first half of the game this week, Franklin said.

The Nittany Lions have a tall task as they try and finish the season with 2 of their next 3 games against top 10 teams. They are at home against No. 7 Michigan this weekend and at home vs. Rutgers before they head to the Woodshed and play No. 3 Michigan State to round out the regular season.
Penn State hosts No. 7 Michigan at noon ET on ABC.
