There was plenty of buzz surrounding Micah Parsons back when he was a recruit coming out of high school.

According to 247Sports, Parsons, a linebacker now a Penn State, was a 5-star recruit and the No. 5 player overall in the Class of 2018. Again, the hype was certainly there.

Parsons did his thing as a freshman for the Nittany Lions, amassing 82 tackles and registering 1.5 sacks. But as a sophomore now in 2019, Parsons is turning into the player everybody thought he could. BTN analyst Howard Griffith talked about Parsons and how incredibly athletic he is:

The best is yet to come for Parsons, no doubt about it. But if he continues to improve the way he has already in Happy Valley, he is going to become a household name across the entire country.

So far this season through three games, Parsons has gotten 20 tackles and matched last season’s total of 4.5 tackles for loss.
