Ahead of the matchup, on Tuesday, Nittany Lions coach James Franklin spoke with the media. He talked about numerous topics — one of which was about wide receiver KJ Hamler:

Franklin was of course joking about buying Hamler’s parents a vacation and getting a future Nittany Lion out of the deal. That wouldn’t go over with the NCAA too well. But, you get his point.

He likes his play-making WR quite a lot.

To this point in the season, Hamler has caught 26 passes for 455 yards and 5 TD in the first six games as a junior. Last year, as a sophomore, Hamler had 5 receiving TDs in 13 games.

Hamler and the Nittany Lions take on the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday at Beaver Stadium. The game will be televised on ABC.
