James Franklin stated that Penn State is going with the QB that will give the team the best chance to win on Saturday. He was asked about who QB1 will be at Wednesday’s press conference.

It will either be Sean Clifford or Drew Allar suiting up for the Nittany Lions. Franklin stated that he didn’t have an update about the team’s starter in Week 10. He may be taking a similar approach to how Illinois’ Bret Bielema handled his QB competition earlier this season.

“I don’t have any announcements to be made,” said Franklin.

Franklin also said that if he had any update, he probably wouldn’t say anything to keep Indiana from gaining the upper hand.

Clifford has 20 total touchdowns and 6 interceptions this season. Allar has not had as much playing time compared to Clifford and has 209 yards passing with 2 touchdowns.

Who should get the start at quarterback against Indiana this Saturday?
