Kalen King is looking ahead to the next chapter of his career and moving on the NFL, he officially announced Sunday.

King was 1 of the 12 Penn State players who was listed as out for the Peach Bowl, making his decision on Sunday not a surprising one.

Although the game didn’t end how Penn State wanted, King still had a good season. The Penn State defensive back accounted for 29 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and 2 passes defended.

Here’s what King had to say as the next chapter of his career is about to start:

“Nittany Nation, it has truly been a pleasure playing in front of the nation’s greatest fans these last three seasons. There is nothing like running out of the tunnel at Beaver Stadium with my brothers and competing week in and week out,” said King. “We’ve had some great success during my time here, and I know this program will continue to have success in the years to come. After much thought and consideration, I have decided to forego my final year of eligibility to pursue my dream of playing in the NFL.”

Penn State ended the year at 10-3 after the 38-25 loss to Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl.
