LOOK: Social media is in awe of what Saquon Barkley is doing on Thursday Night Football
Thursday Night Football is going on and usually it could be considered a snooze-fest.
There typically isn’t two good teams playing against each other and the entertainment value just doesn’t seem to be as high. That is, unless Saquon Barkley is playing.
This Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles are playing the New York Giants and Barkley has been doing some remarkable things in the first quarter and a half. The Giants trail 21-6 prior to halftime, but that isn’t on Barkley not doing enough.
Here’s a 9-yard run earlier that was pretty amazing:

After that insane run, Barkley had a screen pass thrown to him from Eli Manning. Manning can thank the former Penn State star for padding his stats.
Take a look:

Again, Barkley is insane. And insane isn’t the best way to describe him. Throughout the game to this point, commentators calling the game have made comparisons to Barry Sanders and Earl Campbell — pretty high praise.
Following the screen pass, here is what social media was saying about the do-it-all back:

I’ve never really seen Saquon Barkley until tonight. This guy is serious. Holy smokes…

The @Giants No.26 is showing the football world why scouts and coaches were so smitten with his talents as a "playmaker" during the pre-draft process. Barkley is the kind of big, "hybrid" RB (see Gurley, Johnson & Bell) that every offense wants as an RB1
