Penn State adds 2nd commitment in as many days with 4-star OL from New Jersey
Penn State is still racking up wins coming out of Week 1! After rolling past West Virginia on the road, the Nittany Lions secured a key commitment on Monday, and they followed that up with another key prospect on Tuesday.
This time, the commitment comes from Malachi Goodman, an impact interior offensive lineman out of Paramus Catholic in Paramus, New Jersey. One of the top IOL in the class of 2025, Goodman’s eventual commitment to Penn State came over Auburn and USC.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds, Goodman is rated as a 4-star prospect and the No. 8 IOL in the country by the 247 Sports Composite. He’s also the No. 3 overall player from New Jersey and the 146th prospect in the country.
With his commitment, Goodman becomes the 2nd-highest rated prospect currently committed in Penn State’s 2025 recruiting class. He is 1 of 3 players ranked inside the top 200 players in the country for James Franklin’s program.
Goodman is the second 4-star prospect to commit to the Nittany Lions this week. Matthew Outten, a 4-star athlete out of Virginia, officially flipped away from Virginia Tech with a pledge to Penn State on Monday.
