Penn State football secured a Rose Bowl win on Monday and a top veteran wide receiver.

Shortly after the game’s conclusion, former NC State wide receiver Devin Carter announced his decision to transfer out of the portal to join the Nittany Lions via Twitter.

Carter played five seasons for the Wolfpack and had a standout career there, including a total of 118 receptions for 1,906 and 10 touchdowns. This season alone, Carter caught 25 passes for 406 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Penn State picking up Carter for 2023 will be a huge opportunity to add more depth to the Nittany Lions offense.

This past season it has been made aware that wide receivers Parker Washington and Mitchell Tinsley will be heading to the NFL Draft. Carter, who is listed at 6-foot-3, will be in his sixth season in 2023 and will add some veteran leadership to the young group at Penn State.

We will see what Carter will bring to the field next season for the Nittany Lions.
