Penn State continues to improve its 2022 recruiting class, adding a three-star defensive back Saturday afternoon.

A good weekend for the Nittany Lions started Friday when four-star running back Kaytron Allen pledged to James Franklin’s program via the class of 2022. He became the 11th four-star recruit for Penn State’s class.

On Saturday, it was Jordan Allen, a defensive back out of Lafayette, Louisiana. He committed to the Nittany Lions over Louisville and Miami, among others.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Allen is the No. 34 safety nationally and the No. 23 overall prospect out of Louisiana. Allen is also the 494th player nationally for the cycle.
The addition of Allen brings Penn State’s class up to 20 total commitments with that group rising to No. 2 nationally. As things currently stand, the Nittany Lions trail only Ohio State’s class of 2022, setting up more impressive B1G East battles for the future.
