Penn State gathered a commitment from one of the top athletes in the 2024 class. The commitment came from one of the top recruits in the state of Pennsylvania.

Quinton Martin officially committed to the Nittany Lions on Good Friday. Martin is a 4-star athlete out of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania per the 247Sports Composite. He is No. 3 athlete and No. 1 recruit from Pennsylvania in his class.

Martin confirmed his decision with a social media post in Penn State gear.

After Martin’s commitment, Penn State now has the No. 3 recruiting class in the B1G for the 2024 cycle with 7 total commits according to 247Sports. Other B1G programs that offered Martin include Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Rutgers, and Wisconsin.

Penn State will be led on offense by a different name under center in 2023. Drew Allar is expected to run the show for the Nittany Lions now that Sean Clifford has graduated.

The Nittany Lions have made two recent additions as of late. One was also from the class of 2024, while the other was a transfer commitment from a B1G RB.
