Penn State officially makes decision on starting QB
Penn State officially announced a QB1 for the season opener on Friday.
The Nittany Lions have had an ongoing quarterback battle throughout fall practices, but that is now in the past. The competition had really been between two players in redshirt sophomore Sean Clifford and redshirt freshman Will Levis.
Of the two, Clifford has the most experience after appearing in limited action last season. However, he has just seven passing attempts in his collegiate career so far.

Clifford may get the start, but it seems likely that both players will see at least some action in the opener. Kickoff for next Saturday’s opener is set for 3:30 pm EST on BTN.
