Penn State added another four-star prospect to its already-impressive 2018 class.

On Monday, PJ Mustipher, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive tackle out of Maryland, gave a verbal commitment to the Nittany Lions via Twitter:

Mustipher becomes the 22nd commitment of Penn State’s 2018 class, which was ranked third nationally and second in the B1G on Monday evening. He is the 14th member of the class to have either a four-star or five-star ranking.

The defensive tackle had 16 offers, including seven from B1G programs. He picked Penn State over other conference powers like Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Wisconsin. He also held offers from Notre Dame and Alabama.

Mustipher is ranked in the top 100 of the 2018 recruiting class, per 247Sports. He’s the sixth-best DT and ranked as the No. 4 player out of Maryland.
