On Monday, news broke that a former Penn State team doctor was filing a lawsuit against the university claiming that James Franklin — the head football coach — pressured him regarding injured players returning to the football field.
Hours after the news came out, Penn State University responded to the lawsuit:

The university is essentially rejecting the former team doctor’s claims and is defending Franklin here. There will certainly be more that comes from this.

Player safety has been put at a premium over the last few years in football and if a coach is trying to strong-arm his way into getting guys back onto the field that perhaps aren’t healthy enough to because of safety precautions, this could become bad news for Penn State.
