Penn State’s 17 first-half points are the most the Nittany Lions have scored in Ann Arbor since 2009.

PSU managed two rushing touchdowns and a field goal in the first half, including a brilliant 28-yard run from quarterback Sean Clifford.

Penn State has had a rough time at Michigan in recent years. Here’s their last three meetings in Ann Arbor:

You have to go back to 2009 to find the last time Penn State scored more than two touchdowns. That game was a 35-10 victory for the Nittany Lions.

Penn State has won two of the last three meetings in this series, but Michigan holds the overall series advantage at 14-9.

PSU is looking to avoid its first 0-6 start in program history. Michigan is also struggling this year with a 2-3 record. Last week, the Wolverines needed triple overtime to defeat Rutgers.

Running back Keyvone Lee also has a touchdown for the Nittany Lions in this game.
