Penn State linebacker Manny Bowen will miss a second-straight game according to head coach James Franklin.

During his press conference on Tuesday, Franklin said that Bowen would miss Saturday’s game against Nebraska due to an unspecified violation of team rules. When asked if Bowen would return this season, Franklin said he is “not available right now.”

Bowen has recorded 51 tackles this season, including 3.5 stops for loss and 1.5 sacks. He also has four quarterback hurries to his name.

In place of Bowen, Brandon Smith earned the start last week against Rutgers and recorded 10 tackles. He’ll get the start again this week against the Cornhuskers.

This week will be the home finale for Penn State as the Nittany Lions travel to Maryland on Nov. 25.

Saturday’s game between Nebraska and Penn State is scheduled to kickoff at 4 p.m. ET.
