Tyler Warren adds 2nd Fiesta Bowl TD with acrobatic grab
Tyler Warren has been the most reliable playmaker for the Penn State Nittany Lions all season. In the Fiesta Bowl against Boise State, the star is doing all he can to lead his team to a victory.
In the 1st quarter, Drew Allar found Warren for an 11-yard score to put the Nittany Lions on the board. Then, in the 3rd quarter, Allar found Warren again, this time for a 13-yard score.
The ball was thrown to the back of the end zone where Warren leaped and caught the ball over a Boise State defender. The score put the Nittany Lions up 24-14.

In addition, Warren passed Allen Robinson to become Penn State’s all-time single-season receptions leader. Entering the game, Warren had 92 catches on the season, needing 6 to break Robinson’s record of 97. That’s exactly what happened on the 3rd quarter TD as Warren further cements his place in the Penn State record books.

Warren has not only been an elite pass-catcher but has also benefitted the team as a runner and passer. The TE has 24 carries for 197 yards and 4 TDs on the ground, while also throwing for 35 yards and 1 TD.
With over 14 minutes to play in the game, the Nittany Lions are maintaining a 24-14 lead over the Broncos. With a win, the Nittany Lions would improve to 13-2 on the season and book an appearance in the Orange Bowl against the winner of the Notre Dame-Georgia matchup.
