Tyler Warren continues to do it all for Penn State’s offense. In fact, he does so many different things from his tight end position that fans on social media believe he should be included in the conversation for the Heisman Trophy.

In the first half against Purdue, Warren continued to line up across the formation. It included time spent at quarterback (where he ran the ball once for 8 yards and started a double pass that came back to himself), at tight end and wide receiver as the do-it-all weapon for the Nittany Lions.

At the break, Warren leads all players with 7 catches for 119 receiving yards and a touchdown to go with his 8-yard carry. It goes down as Warren’s 3rd game of the season with 100 yards receiving, and it’s his 5th game of the season with 7+ rushing yards.

So, is there any chance Warren can carve out a case for the Heisman Trophy? That’s unlikely for a number of reasons, but his versatility is a key piece of Penn State’s offense, and it’s hard to envision any other player winning the Mackey Award as the top TE in the country.

Still, people are allowed to dream, and if the Heisman goes to the best player in football, Warren can certainly make a case rooted in statistics and ability to play the game at a variety of positions.

Here is how fans and media reacted to Warren’s latest big-time performance in the game against Purdue:
