It’s hard to imagine anyone ever doubting Penn State QB Trace McSorley, but he remembers vividly what his detractors used to say.

A three-star prospect for the class of 2014, Purdue was the only other B1G school to offer a scholarship to McSorley. He signed with the Nittany Lions and embarked on what has become arguably the best career by a QB in school history.

Though he certainly had his doubters coming out of high school, PSU head coach James Franklin is not among them. In a recent segment on College GameDay, Franklin praised McSorley heavily.

“He’s got every trait you want,” said Franklin. He previously praised McSorley’s play and leadership and gave him the label as a “winner.”

He may be breaking records, but can McSorley bring a national championship to Happy Valley?
