Drew Brees breaks NFL's all-time mark for passing TDs with memorable MNF performance
Drew Brees knows how to break a record in style!
Entering Monday Night Football, the former Purdue star and QB for the New Orleans Saints was on the edge of history. Brees stood just two touchdowns shy of tying Peyton Manning for the all-time mark for passing touchdowns. He tied that mark with career touchdown 539 in the second quarter.
In the second half, Brees continued his strong work against the Indianapolis Colts. He led another drive deep into Colts territory and capped it with the record-breaking score. Not only was it career touchdown No. 540, it also came on his 20th consecutive completion in the game.
