Elijah Sindelar carves his name into Purdue history with the likes of Brees, Everett after two big weeks
The 2019 college football season is just two weeks old, but already, Elijah Sindelar has carved out a spot in Purdue history with huge performances in back-to-back weeks.
Sindelar has thrown for over 400 yards in each of Purdue’s first two games this season, becoming just the third quarterback in Boilermakers history to hit that mark in back-to-back contests. The other two? Drew Brees and Jim Everett.
Elite company, wouldn’t you say? That statistic comes from BTN Stats Guys, who tweeted it out following Purdue’s 42-24 win over Vanderbilt in the home opener.
Elijah Sindelar is the 3rd #Purdue QB ever to throw for over 400 yards in back-to-back games joining Jim Everett (Oct. 12 – Oct. 19, 1985) and Drew Brees (Oct. 3, 1998 – Oct. 10, 1998). #BoilerUp
