Both Minnesota and Purdue could use a win in Week 5.

The Golden Gophers have two losses this year already, including a defeat against Bowling Green last weekend. The Boilermakers are 3-1, with their only loss coming against Notre Dame back on Sept. 18.

According to ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI), Purdue is expected to add to its win total on Saturday. The Boilermakers have a 70.5 percent chance of earning the victory, per FPI.

Both teams enter this game with a quarterback controversy of sorts. Minnesota quarterback Tanner Morgan has struggled this year, and some fans have called for a change at that position. Coach PJ Fleck has already announced Morgan will remain the starter this weekend.

Meanwhile, Purdue has been playing both Jack Plummer and Aidan O’Connell at times this season. It was O’Connell who came in for Plummer in last week’s win over Illinois, throwing for 182 yards on 19 attempts.

Minnesota has won the last three matchups in this series. The Gophers lead the all-time series 40-33-3.

Kick off is at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday.
