George Karlaftis reaches contract agreement with Kansas City Chiefs, per report
George Karlaftis is off to the NFL to begin his professional career, and he reportedly has his first deal in place.
During the 2022 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs landed Karlaftis late in the first round. Karlaftis should bring a balance to the Chiefs’ pass-rush as he looks to get his career underway.
Now, Karlaftis also has his rookie contract in place. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, Karlaftis has signed a fully guaranteed 4-year deal with Kansas City. Financial details have not been disclosed but the projected total value at pick No. 30 was just shy of $12 million.

Karlaftis was the 30th overall pick in the draft to Kansas City and was one of five pass-rushers selected in the first round. That group had three defensive ends in the top 5 picks, including Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson.
