Purdue has picked up a new commitment for its 2025 recruiting class.

Rashad Jones, an Edge prospect out of Michigan, announced Tuesday that he has verbally pledged to play for the Boilermakers. He shared the big news on social media.

A standout of Belleville (Michigan) High School, Jones is listed as measuring 6-4, 240 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Jones is rated 3-stars, the No. 12 player in the state of Michigan, No. 45 Edge prospect and No. 634 player overall in the Class of 2025.

Jones has scholarship offers from seven programs at this point in the 2025 cycle. Michigan State, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Louisville and Cincinnati also showed interest in the Boilermaker pledge.

Ryan Walters’ has now added two verbal commitments for 2025 in the month of January. With Jones and 4-star CB Tarrion Grant on board, the Boilermakers are up to five pledges for the No. 16 class overall on the Composite.
