Purdue, at least for 2033 and 2034, went after scheduling an SEC school with a home-and-home series:

Purdue will be traveling to take on Ole Miss in 2033, while the Rebels will visit the Boilermakers in 2034. The two teams have met once before, back in 1929 when Purdue won 27-7.

This season, the Boilermakers faced Nevada, Vanderbilt and TCU in its non-conference schedule. Purdue appears to have no problem going against teams in other Power 5 conferences.
