Purdue is 4-7 overall. It can’t get to six wins and become bowl eligible.

That being said, it is still in a meaningful battle with Indiana this week. Why? Because it’s a rivalry game. That’s why.

Indiana was up 14-3 midway through the second quarter, but Purdue wasn’t going to roll over and quit. Quarterback Aidan O’Connell — the team’s third-string QB entering the season — found insanely talented tight end Brycen Hopkins over the middle of the field for a 72-yard catch-and-run.
