Purdue's Aidan O'Connell hits TE Brycen Hopkins for easy 72-yard catch-and-run against Indiana
Purdue is 4-7 overall. It can’t get to six wins and become bowl eligible.
That being said, it is still in a meaningful battle with Indiana this week. Why? Because it’s a rivalry game. That’s why.
Indiana was up 14-3 midway through the second quarter, but Purdue wasn’t going to roll over and quit. Quarterback Aidan O’Connell — the team’s third-string QB entering the season — found insanely talented tight end Brycen Hopkins over the middle of the field for a 72-yard catch-and-run.

Hopkins is a finalist for this year’s John Mackey Award, which is given to the nation’s top tight end. You could see why on this play alone.
