Report: Key Purdue assistant leaving for job at Washington
After a 9-4 season and Music City Bowl win, Jeff Brohm is dealing with a number of departures from his coaching staff. That list reportedly added another name Wednesday evening.
According to Tom Dienhart with GoldandBlack.com, co-OC and WR coach JaMarcus Shephard is leaving for Washington to join the staff of new head coach Kalen DeBoer. Shephard is expected to coach WRs for the Huskies.

Shephard has been at Purdue since 2017 and there is no denying the work he has done with the Boilermakers receivers. Rondale Moore became a 2nd-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and David Bell recorded some dominant performances over the past 2 seasons.
If Shephard does leave, he will be the latest in a string of Purdue assistants to depart after the strong 2021 season. DC Brad Lambert left for Wake Forest and offensive line coach Neil Callaway is reportedly expected to retire.
