Report: Purdue assistant expected to follow DC Brad Lambert to Wake Forest
A wild offseason for Purdue’s coaching staff continues off with reports of a defensive assistant expected to leave the program.
Following a 9-4 season, Jeff Brohm has dealt with a number of programs calling on pieces of his coaching staff. DC Brad Lambert is on the move to serve as DC at Wake Forest, and one Boilermaker is reportedly planning to join him.
According to Pete Thamel with Yahoo! Sports, CB coach James Adams is planning to leave Purdue for a similar role at Wake Forest. Adams and Lambert have previously worked together at Charlotte from 2011-18. Adams was the secondary coach and an assistant on special teams for the 49ers.
Sources: Wake Forest is expected to hire Purdue’s James Adams as the new safeties coach. Adams is former Wake player, alum and worked there as a GA. He reunites with new Wake DC Brad Lambert, who he worked with last year at Purdue and for eight years at Charlotte.

Hopefully, Purdue is able to rebound from the offseason changes after its best season under Brohm and a dramatic bowl performance in the Music City Bowl.
