Raheem Mostert is still terrorizing defenders in the open field!

Mostert has always possessed an impressive blend of speed and shiftiness on the football field. He rushed for 759 yards and 6 TDs over his career with Purdue, but his best work came as a return man. He accumulated more than 2,200 kick return yards and returned two kicks for touchdowns.

It took Mostert a while to find a place to stick in the NFL, but he has carved out a role for himself with the San Francisco 49ers. He has appeared in 20 games over the past two seasons in San Francisco. He’s also making guys miss in the open field.

On this play, Mostert took a handoff as a running back. He let his blocking develop before cutting back into an open lane. A couple of nifty moves and a nice burst was all it took for Mostert to score on the big run:

Hopefully, he will get a chance to keep making plays in the regular season.
