Saturday night was special. For so many reasons and in so many ways, Purdue’s win over Ohio State was one of the most inspiring of the season, and it wasn’t just because of the final score.

The Boilermakers crushed the Buckeyes in Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday in a 49-20 decision. And they did it with superfan and former student Tyler Trent, who’s been battling bone cancer, in attendance.

All season long, he’d been saying he wanted to see Purdue beat Ohio State on Oct. 20. And on Saturday night, he saw it.

Following the win, Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm gave Tyler the opportunity to address the locker room after the win. And he couldn’t have been prouder of what he saw on the field.
