Zander Horvath is getting a nice start to his NFL career with the Los Angeles Chargers. He’s also in the process of setting mark that hasn’t been reached since the 1940s.

The Week 2 game for the Chargers, Horvath found the end zone early against the Kansas City Chiefs. The short one-yard receiving touchdown gave Horvath his 2nd receiving touchdown his just his second career game played.

According to the Amazon Prime broadcast, Horvath is the first running back or fullback to record two touchdowns in his first two games played since 1942:

Though all of his catches have come in short-yardage situations, Horvath already has 3 catches and 2 touchdowns on the early season. It will be interesting to see if that usage remains the same during the course of the season, but it looks like he has found a role with the Chargers.
