According to a report from NJ.com, multiple Rutgers players are currently under investigation for credit card fraud.

It’s unknown who the players are, just that there are several who are reportedly being probed by the Rutgers University Police Department.

According to NJ.com, it could involve as many as eight players. Specifics of the matter aren’t known.

The university has yet to comment on the reported investigation.

Last year, nine Florida football players were suspended as a result of being charged with credit card fraud. Several even served season-long suspensions.

The Rutgers report came a day removed from defensive back K.J. Gray and linebacker Brendan DeVera getting kicked off the team for a violation of team rules. It’s unknown if the timing of their dismissals and the reported credit card fraud were related.
