Rutgers football spends time with Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive during holiday season
The 2018 football season wasn’t a successful one for Rutgers.
Even Scarlet Knight fans would tell you that. After winning its first game, Rutgers lost its next 11, finishing 2018 with a 1-11 record while going 0-9 in B1G play. The team is not going to a bowl game.
However, not all is lost. A program can always look to the future.
Away from the field, Rutgers does positive things, such as visiting local hospitals. Another positive, festive act the Scarlet Knights recently participated in was spending time with the Salvation Army.

It’s the holiday season. Some people need a little pick-me-up.
Rutgers’ football program may not have given people tons of smiles on the field, however, it can — and does — certainly go out of its way to provide positives for the community away from the field.
