USC sees another recruit flip away from its 2025 class
USC lost another recruit from its 2025 class on Thursday when Carrollton (Ga.) High cornerback Shamar Arnoux made it known he was flipping his commitment to Auburn.
Arnoux had been committed to Lincoln Riley and the Trojans since June. But Auburn continued to recruit him and USC, which has slipped to 4-5 this season, has looked less and less like the place to be. Arnoux’s teammate at Carrollton, Julian Lewis, is reportedly expected to flip away from USC as well, and the Trojans lost a 4-star edge to Miami on Wednesday.
While he didn’t announce the news in his own words, Arnoux did retweet several posts confirming the decision on his personal account.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Arnoux is a 4-star recruit in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He ranks as the No. 50 recruit from the state of Georgia and the No. 35 corner in the class. In the overall player rankings, he sits at No. 378.
Arnoux’s flip comes just days after the Tigers lost a corner to Ole Miss in similar fashion. The Tigers now have 4 known commitments from cornerbacks in the 2025 cycle, with Arnoux joining 4-star Blake Woodby, 4-star Donovan Starr, and 4-star Devin Williams.
For USC, the loss drops the class to 21 ahead of the Dec. 4 early signing period. USC has pledges from 4-star Upland (Calif.) High corner Trestin Castro and 3-star Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County corner James Johnson.
