Jake Ferguson had surgery on an injured thumb earlier this week, but that didn’t keep the Wisconsin tight end off the field for very long.

According to Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Ferguson had surgery on his injured thumb on Tuesday, but was back on the practice field on Friday. However, he wasn’t quite at full-go, wearing a splint and a yellow no-contact jersey.

Ferguson participated in individual and team drills and was able to make some catches throughout the day.
