Wisconsin is in the rare position of looking to start the season off with a little bit of payback in mind.

As a result of the shifting schedule due to the COVID pandemic, Wisconsin and Illinois will start their season in a re-match of last year’s thrilling game. In that showdown, the Illini kicked an improbable game-winning field goal for a huge upset of the Badgers.

While no Wisconsin fans will take anything for granted heading into this game, the Badgers will likely be heavily favored over Illinois. Even without All-American running back Jonathan Taylor who is off to the NFL, Wisconsin stands to be in a good position for this game.

That belief is echoed by ESPN’s Football Power Index. Heading into Friday’s showdown, the FPI is giving the Badgers a 93.9% chance of getting revenge over the Illini.
