Joel Klatt is a college football analyst over at FOX.

Klatt has played, seen, watched and studied the game. He’s been around the sport for a while now.

And on Monday, he made a quick video about who he thinks the top player in the Big Ten is. The video can be seen here.

“My top player in the Big Ten is Jonathan Taylor,” Klatt said. “You do not put up those numbers and not get the No. 1 ranking in the Big Ten. This dude is unreal. If he goes for 1,800 yards this year, he’s going to have 6,000 in his first three seasons in college football. You know how many people have done that? Nobody.

“You know how many people have run for as many yards as Jonathan Taylor his first two seasons in college football? I’ll wait. No one is the answer. Stop Googling it. Herschel Walker? Nope. None of them. Barry Sanders? Nope. Thurman Thomas? Nope. Jonathan Taylor. Best player in the Big Ten.”

Klatt went with Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor, obviously, who has been getting publicity before, but now he seems to be becoming a household name. He is no longer just a “great Wisconsin running back.” He is Jonathan Taylor.

Last weekend, he caught two passes and both went for touchdowns — something he hasn’t really shown before. He’s always been a great runner, but if he can catch passes out of the backfield, he will only be that much more valuable as a chess piece for Wisconsin — and a future NFL team — to utilize.
