John Torchio is turning into a name Aidan O’Connell is going to want to forget. In the Week 8 game between Purdue and Wisconsin, Torchio has struck twice against the Boilermaker quarterback.

In the first half, Torchio picked off an errant O’Connell pass and was in the clear for a pick-6. It was Torchio’s second pick-6 of the season and gave Wisconsin an early 14-0 lead.

Then, to open the third quarter, Torchio struck again. He picked off another O’Connell pass on Purdue’s first drive of the half with the Boilermakers trailing, 21-3.

Torchio did not return it all the way back for another touchdown, but his interception still set up the Badgers in great field position.

Wisconsin would punch that interception in for a touchdown on a long Braelon Allen run. That gives the Badgers a 28-3 lead in the 3rd quarter.
