Wisconsin absolutely stomped its Week 1 opponent in South Florida. The Badgers won that game 49-0.

It was a dominating performance in every aspect. In Week 2, Wisconsin gets Central Michigan.

Badgers running back Jonathan Taylor isn’t holding back his feelings on what he thinks of the Chippewas.

Hint: It’s all respectful.

“They’re a very good program,” said Taylor, who scored four times against South Florida. “Those guys have some dudes, especially last year. They lost a lot of guys. But from the film that we saw, they plugged in very well. The guys that were behind those guys, they plugged in very well.”

Central Michigan is 1-0 after defeating Albany to open the 2019 season. In 2018, the Chippewas went 1-11 overall. If Taylor is correct and they lost a lot of players from last year’s team that won one game, will that make them better?

Maybe this is all respectful talk coming from Taylor. We’ll never really find out.

We will find out how the game goes this weekend when Wisconsin hosts Central Michigan at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7. The game will be televised on BTN.
