It was reported that Wisconsin MBB were planning on having an overseas trip to France over the summer recently. Now the news has been confirmed by Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Wisconsin men’s hoops will be in France from Aug. 7-17. They will have stops in the cities of Lyon, Nice, and Paris. The team will have 4 games and 10 practices during their time there.

Here’s what Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard had to say about the trip according to Potrykus:

“It is great educationally and culturally,” Gard said Thursday. “It is great bonding. You get extra practices. You get the four games.”

This will be the 1st time that Wisconsin will go overseas since 2017, when the team went to Australia and New Zealand in August of that year. The NCAA allows college teams to do so every 4 years.
