Wisconsin defense comes up with crucial TD off massive strip-sack

Wisconsin’s offense has not done much since the game’s opening drive, but the defense came up big-time on this play!

After a Jonathan Taylor score on the first possession of the game, the Badgers offense has been remarkably silent. Northwestern’s defense has stiffened to keep the game close into the second half. However, the Wildcats have also struggled offensively with just a field goal through three quarters.

Fortunately, the Badger defense has been lights out all game, and it was a hit by Eric Burrell that set up this crucial score. Burrell came on a safety blitz that was perfectly timed. Quarterback Hunter Johnson never saw him coming as Burrell drilled him with a hit from behind.

The ball popped free with Matt Henningsen pouncing on the ball in the end zone for the touchdown. That score made it 14-3, Badgers:
