How good is Wisconsin?

The Badgers began the 2019 season with two dominating victories over USF and Central Michigan, 49-0 and 61-0, respectively. That’s a 110-0 start to the season.

And now, through halftime against Michigan in Week 4 — following a bye in Week 3 — Wisconsin leads 28-0. That gives Wisconsin a 138-0 start to the season against its opponents.

It also means that the Badgers have started the season with shutting out its opponents for 10 straight quarters.

That’s impressive, and also pretty historic:

Again, this is beyond impressive. There’s a reason why an FBS team hasn’t reached this milestone in 15 years. It’s incredibly difficult to do.

If Wisconsin can continue its shutout over Michigan, we may be hearing more “overrated” chants coming from the Badger crowd in Madison throughout the second half.
