Here’s what Indiana’s Outback Bowl uniforms look like without B1G patch

Indiana is indeed going to play the Outback Bowl without donning the traditional “B1G” conference logo on the game jersey.

This story began to develop as the team wore uniforms on media day that did not feature the conference logo. Instead, the jersey featured the Outback Bowl logo with Indiana’s 2020 social justice logo above it.

The move was seen by some as a response to Indiana’s perceived snub by the conference. Indiana was passed over with a late-season rule change to give Ohio State the B1G Championship Game appearance. The Hoosiers also slid out of a potential New Year’s Six bowl and the Citrus Bowl, presumably without help from the conference, landing the bid to the Outback Bowl in the process.

Though head coach Tom Allen tried to dispel tensions about the move by indicating Indiana is trying to emphasize its “LEO” mantra, the move remains an intriguing one nonetheless.

Either way, Indiana’s red jerseys for Saturday indeed do not have the “B1G” patch, but the uniforms look as crisp as always:

Hopefully the Hoosiers are able to put up a strong showing against Ole Miss. The game is being broadcast on ABC.
